Nobody did anything funky like hand shortening a pin? I've seen break starting at an end from that. Case hardening is funny stuff, it has to be dead right to work, and then works like gangbusters. Let the treatment get off spec at all and broken part city, especially on pins.

Could just be a fluke break. I'd be looking d-mn close at the others though............

Thanks, we have no idea why it broke. It must have taken an incredible amount of energy to break it yet nothing else was harmed.
