Why would you paint the rotors? I would think that is a safety issue...might affect braking...plus look like crap after the first drive...

ditch the boots n knobs too...they don't fit, and look ghetto.

Bc I got tired of the centers and outer ring rusting. Most aftermarket rotors are zinc coated, so it would have a similar effect. Regardless, the paint all wears off in the actual wear area after your first few drives. I havent noticed any change in braking, and I have already ordered a new pair of pads to replace the old ones with.

I have painted my rotors many times to avoid the rusty look. no issues!

Zinc coating might be worse then painting them, the zinc softens the metal.

Its true that rotors come zinc coated, but befor you install a new rotor or pad, your supposed to clean and scuff them to remove the zinc coating.the paint will be fine, You might get some sticky brake action happening for the first wee bit, other than that it will just burn off. So when you get some new pads, scuff them with 100- 150 grit. Use your DA sander, and if you have a near by shop that does you favors, ask them to machine your rotors for you.

I just painted my calipers red the other day, I took them off though, after I was done I sat there with a touch up brush and painted the metal clip on the face of the caliper black, looks awesome. My zx5 is the same color as your svt, I also tinted the markers and tails and wet sanded and polished.
Looks good dude

P.s. the boots and knob look good, it matches the seats. I actually like it alot, and its way more appealing over the stock look, at least over the mtx shift knob setup. I dont know what the stock getrag/svt shift knobs look like.. .

The colors match, but (in the pic at least) the boots look like they are too short and don't fit right and just kinda lay there on top, and the ebrake button doesn't look like it sticks out far enough to be able to compress it for use. but, hey, that's just me.
