I know this is a mazda, but you guys seem to deal with HIDs more.

I've got a flicker on my driverside HID bulb.

Looks the company is going to honor the 1 year warranty and replace the unit. They want me to switch the bulbs sides to be sure it's not the ballast instead. I'm also wondering if they are going to make me send the bulb or ballast in before they send the replacement out. (which I wont like).

This is my first HID kit and I'm very nervous about handling the bulbs for the initial install let along to take them out and switch them it's a tight fit on top of it all. Damn it why did I have to get a defective kit.

Is there any way to handle the bulb to the point if something does touch it it wont bother it, like say latex gloves? Cause my stupid luck it may happen.

HIDxtra.com is the company in question. Here's a quick vid I did after install. Being this was my first install I was kinda hoping the flickering would go away after a while or as warned in the instructions. I figured the bulb need more power to stop it from flickering like when the car is on. After the install was complete and I started the car and the bulbs warmed up I didn't see it any more. Fingers crossed that it was done.

Then I noticed periodically it still flickers, I see it on the street and others may or may not see it but I know it's there and it's annoying.

Watch the sides.

try your best not to touch it or get any grease etc on them... definitely wear some nitrile gloves.
