Front end "sway" issue

So my 04 svt has been for lack of a better way to describe it swaying. I have checked ball joint and tie rods. Driver side inner tie rod needs replacing based on the classic 3 and 9 play when off the ground. I just got new wheels and tires and taking it to the shop tomorrow to get the tie rod replaced and aligned. Is the tie rod the culprit or should I check anything else?
