How old is your AEM wideband?

I think mine is starting to fail, when i first got it mine use to run pretty consistantly at 14.7-15 now at times it will drop down to 10 and just hang there. It seems very sporadic like its starting to fail or go bad.

Maybe the O2 sensor has a limit on how long it will last? maybe it needs cleaned? or MAF sensor cleaned?

Don't clean it you'll damage it. Are you sure you not just running really rich? If you think it's going out then you can always get a replacement one. When it does that do you notice the car running different? What are you doing when it happens?

i have had mine for around 5 years no issues. if anythings going bad its the sensor itself which i think is ~$80 maybe less.

you could trying cleaning for MAF with electrical contact or MAF cleaner. but like sleepyboy said don't clean the O2 you will kill it.

Read the whole thing, ain't that much there.

Things you should notice,
- Output is heat dependent
- Output is susceptible to moisture and fuel contamination
- Output is susceptible to harness corrosion
- Average life is said to be 70,000km (it's actually hours but)

Best bet is to compare it to your STFT's and see if it looks like it's correct or wrong.

Ill have to check it out the nex time im under my car.

Its been on my car since i installed it and i just drive around with it on and working even though i havnt needed it since the last tune Tom did about 2 years ago. I think ive only put about 15,000 miles on it since

Last summer was when i noticed the first signs of it flaking out, we had a REALLY hot summer.

I didnt think mine would run any hotter or have any more issues with placement then any one else though.

Can you tell from this if its not reading correctly? Pink is throttle position, brown is car speed.
What i do is start logging, then a few seconds after i start the car, let idle for about a minute drive then pull over and again let idle for a minute.



Im not even sure what that is telling me.

I'll assume the blue'ish are WBO2 and STFT; which being the case, I see no issue with the sensor.
I do think Ignition Timing should be looked at though.

How often should you have it looked at? I havnt even thought about that.

I have the item highlighted under each chart what each one is darkened. It shows min-max and average.

If i have a sensor or a selinoid go bad or plugged in wrong will it show on a log? I still have a engine code P2004 but im not sure where to start. Plugs, the diaphram bell thing that move the actual arm or a vacuum line. Everything looks right but i havnt had a few of them plugged in or hooked up in a while so i forgot wich plugs went to what. I thought they all had their own plug type so you couldnt plug the wrong thing into the wrong sensor but maybe not.
