CAI for turbo

Currently my KN air filter sits right on the turbo. Which is bad because it is drawing in hot air. I want to make a pipe to run up into the fender (between the plastic wheel well shield and fender) for my air intake into the turbo. I found this flexible hose thing on ebay and it looks like this would make it easier then making a custom pipe. Check it out and let me know if anyone has used this or your thoughts on it.

Thanks,
Joe

Flexible pipe is definatly the easy route. I would look for silicone couplers and pipe myself. They each come in many angles and sizes.

Edit: just looked at price. It's probably worth trying

If you are serious about that plastic flex tube from ebay. Why not try some 3" Aluminum HVAC hose from Home depot? 8' for $10. Or even try flexible exhaust tubing. You can get 3' of 3" flexible steel exhaust tubing for $15. Most local auto parts stores should carry this stuff. If not the local truck garage will have it and couplers to match. They usually sell the flex tubing and silicon coupling by the foot.

Well... for 22.99 shipped I am going to try it and if it is not good then I will have a nice pipe made from aluminum and welded. The local turbo shop wants like 300 bucks to make me a pipe. They are insane and I dont know how to weld. I have 3" aluminum pipe and couplers I just didnt want to use like 5 couplers to get it to go where I want. Well I'll figure it out. I was hoping to find someone that had tried that ebay thing and would chime in about it.
