Alternator replacement on 05 ZX3 2.0

Alright guys, new guy here. So is the easiest way to get the alternator out of this car is to take the lower motor mount bolt out and try to rock the motor forward to get it out from between the half shaft and steering rack? I replaced the alternator once before about two years ago and remember having to do that. Had the old one rebuilt and they obviously didn't replace the bearings cause they failed and now the thing fell apart.

I removed the bolts from the passenger side motor mount that attach it to the frame rail then used a floor jack (with a block of wood) under the oil pan to move that side forward

That was pretty easy, but I havent tried it your way

I'm pretty sure that's what I did last time.
