I am on my third new Focus and they were all bought with 0 per cent financing. In Canada they rotate their deals in a fairly regular pattern. First up is usually the 0 per cent up to 72 months with a rebate of at least 1500 dollars and 500 to 750 in customer loyalty money. This is generally the best deal if you aren't paying cash.

After that runs out the Family Pricing Plan comes out to play. There are big discounts in maybe the 3500 to 4500 dollar range. The interest rate however , is maybe 4.5 to 5.5 per cent. The price of the car is cheaper than the 0 per cent/rebate deal, but if financed the interest added in brings the total cost up to at least a thousand more.

Then there is a regular interest rate, no rebate, but free winter wheels, tires and sensors. Not a bad deal either. I haven't crunched those numbers but the free stuff might make up for some of the interest.

Factor in any better deal you can drive on price, but just know that you should do your math to see what's best for you.

Only take zero if you plan on keeping the car for the life if the loan and your credit is not good enough to get a low interest loan and get all incentives as well
