Front suspension problem.

Hello, my car seems to have developed a potentially severe issue and I need help troubleshooting it before spending any money on it. I can hear a squeaking/screeching noise coming from the front on the driver side, at first I thought it was the strut mount going but now, I'm thinking either axle or wheel bearing. I recorded my drive home from work so that you have an idea of what it sounds like. You can listen to it here. Thank you.

Check your front swaybar end links, and if the cv boot is twisted/or excessive axle play. Unlikely but check your tie rod ends too. Go from there.

Yes, this.

Also,I had my car recently checked due to excessive noise from the front end. No grinding sound, but lots of clunks and clanks. I need new sway bar links.

You can check your ball joints too but you would most likely have a vibration on the highway if they were bad.

Uh, no. Ball joints hardly ever vibrate. They clunk like in slow turn into parking space.

You would get a vibration at highway speeds in the steering wheel, why not check anyway if your checking the front end?

The steering wheel is wobbling at any speed, but it actually more noticeable at low speed. Does that help?

Ayleron, i have had this front end noise for the past three months. It only happens when I'm slowing down or slowing down to make a turn do I hear this thumping noise. Taking it in this week, will see what they say. It's a 2012 focus se sedan, with 30k miles, not that it makes a difference but your question is the only one I could find that even comes close to what I'm experiencing.
