Noticing any hissing sounds or anything from the engine compartment? Have any records of previous work done? You could have a vacuum leak, bad plugs/wires, bad coilpack, bad connector at the coilpack, a bad/sticking injector, bad PCV hose.

I have a slight acceleration issue that I have been too lazy to mess with. It sticks a little bit when you first press the gas, but I have not ground down the inside of the intake opening so it fits right.

It could also be a vaccuum leak if its idling funny.

Back in 2000 there was a company that took a stock Zetec and put cam gears on it, injectors, and a turbo. Puts down 278whp and 280 ft.lbs. at 15psi. Heres the link

http://www.turbomagazine.com/tech/03...ed_ford_focus/

Pretty amazing what cam gear tinkering does to a boosted car.

You dont pay someone to have sex with ur wife and then brag about how good she was....so why have someone work on your car and brag about how fast it is?

I had the same issue on my old Focus where it would stutter if I tried to accelerate too hard. Couldn't bring it over 3500-4000 rpm without it bucking and slowing down. Turned out to be a bad fuel pump. Engine couldn't get enough fuel to hit those rpm.
