AM Radio stations getting weaker & no HD! 2012 Titanium

I have noticed that over the past few months that AM Radio stations have been getting weaker and not kicking into HD in the same spots as before.
Of course the only reason I listen to AM radio is traffic reports - 1010 WINS on the 1s and WCBS on the 8s.
I really don't listen to the radio other that that, but FM seems not to be having a problem. Any advice?

There was a Sevice Bulletin posted a while back:

5599 - 2011-2013 Multiple Vehicle Lines - Poor AM Reception
Some 2011-2013 Explorer / Fiesta, 2012-2013 Focus, 2013 Flex may exhibit poor AM radio reception with no FM or satellite reception concerns. Review Owner Guide, Entertainment System, Radio Reception Factors for a description of characteristi c radio reception influences. Follow Workshop Manual section 415-00, pin point t est "A" to diagnose AM reception concerns. Service inventories have been updated with a revised antenna assembly (18936). Use existing service labor operations for antenna diagnostics and replacement.

AM and FM are very poor. I rely on AM for traffic reports.

As my dealer, who I am not going to name in public, couldn't find the problem I took it to another Malouf Ford in North Brunswick, and they cited this and are replacing.

I'll see how things work today when I pick the car up. I will be so glad when I get back in my car since the only thing they had to put me in was a F-150!

Hi Triborough,

It sounds like Malouf Ford is taking great care of you. If you'd like me to document any feedback about your experience, send a PM my way with your name, phone number, and any details you'd like to include.

The service department at Malouf Ford did a great job and the radio is working great now. I was able to listen to the Yankees game on the way home!

They replaced the antenna assembly. It required them removing the headliner.
