MFT "1" and "2" buttons on steering wheel

Are these customizable? The owners guide shows them with defined "home" and "information" labels on the rocker switch, but on my car they show as "1" and "2" inside a star figure.

They can display different information from one time to the next . . . unfortunately however, the choice is not up to you. :)

They used to be. When I got my car I had them set to jump between the Nav screen and Entertainment screen with a simple thumb press while my hands remained on the wheel. Really convenient.

Ford decided to take this ability away starting w/v3.0.2. They claimed that the changes in 3.0.2 were "based on customer feedback" but to be honest I have a hard time believing that customers were contacting Ford and saying something to the effect of "Boy, I really wish you would take away the ability to customize the star favorite buttons."

Yeah, that doesn't really sound plausible.
