2002 svt

I had the timing belt sheer some teeth. I replaced the belt and used the cam bar, the crank pin and put it back toghter. Wont start? Timing checks out with #1 piston and there is fuel and spark. But she just wont run.. Any thoughts. Before I pull the head what should the compression be for this motor. Also wouldnt it at least pop or something even if the valves are bent?

The popping ... not necessarily. But it would crank.

The compression varies between 110-145 that I have seen from many different members on the site.

When the TBelt went out, did your car die? Did it make a big pop? Did it puff out a big amount of black smoke?

Or did you just notice the sheered teeth and decided to replace it?

Just going 70 mph down the freeway and it lost all power. The intake manifold came off is what we found first. Then after replacing the boots, it just turned over. No popping no backfire no crunching nada. So I took off the timing cover and cranked the motor and thats when we discovered that the cams were not turning. So we replaced the belt. Using the crank pin and the cam bar. The cam belt sheared teeth at the crank so it may ? OR may not have bent the valves. Compression check later today. Will post the outcome.

I would do a compression test , this will tell you if you bent valves

Compression could be 90 - 120 +/-

Well about two hours ago I discovered that all the exhaust valves are bent open. After a comp. test of 0 across the board, I pulled the head. At least the pistons aren't damaged.

So can I put a stock head on the svt and just swap the cams?? Or what is the way to delegate the intake variable.??? I have a ported and polished head with the larger valves and another set of cams here...

Don't think you can swap svt cams to a zetec head. As for the vct, can't tune it out with a scan tool, you will need to by a vct delete kit. Massive speed system sells a kit. The car will need to be tuned after.
