It's subjective of course, and I did give a couple of criteria for what I'm looking for in the OP. I'm just not a fan of the OEM leather wrapped knob at all. A couple of people above gave some good suggestions. I really like the Blox 490 in gun metal, but it is currently out of stock. :( In fact just about everything in the Blox 490 is currently out of stock. I think I'll hold out for the gun metal knob to be available, unless I find something better in the meantime.

In my Mazda Miata I have an aluminum Voodoo knob, and that is excellent! Voodoo doesn't appear to make knobs fitted for the Focus though, and the Blox 490 looks pretty close to the Voodoo.

I double checked Thompson Automotive's website last night and they do indeed have the Voodoo Magnum shift knob that fits the Focus! I ordered a sphere shaped Voodoo knob in Piano Black, which is the finish I preferred from the start. :) :jump:
