Has it had the timing belt assembly replaced? Water pump? Clutch master cylinder? Thermostat housing? Those will all need to be done soon, especially the T-belt assy, regardless of mileage.
On the other hand, if it's a garage queen, and the original owner, if it's worth it to you...what's another $1000.
Also, keep in mind that Ford isn't supporting SVTFs anymore, so some parts are getting hard to find.
Good luck, and if you buy it, post pics!

If I were seriously in the market for a SVT, not just casually as I am now.....

The opportunity to find a super clean, very low mile example is getting hard.
I would spend $4 on a 120k mile car, but double that for a very low mile garage queen.
If I wasn't poor, $11 would be reasonable for not having to look for the nicest used SVT left in America.

You've made the right choice.

Well I know they are polar opposites, but I was trying to decide on getting something slightly nicer than my current 1998 SVT Contour daily driver like this Focus, or go all out and get the G8, which I've wanted for years. The Focus would have been better on gas and cheaper, but I know I would have been happier with the G8. So that's what I got.

I also own a modified 2003 Cobra and 1986 Mustang GT, so I've got some other "fun" cars.

I was looking at the G8 for strictly daily driving as well. Wanted something comfortable that still moved a little.

Couldn't find a nice GX with a sunroof though.

I stole this one. Had 9K miles on it, in addition to a CAI, full exhaust, and a tune. Was in perfect condition and I paid $24K for it. They are going for near that price unmodded with more miles. I couldn't be happier. Even gets 22 MPG for my daily driving...
