I am curious if you can install the snorkel without taking the whole bumper off.

I used a dremel and was able to install with out taking off front bumper. I'll upload pics in. Few but I can say the car feels like ther was some improvement but not alot. Definitely not worth the 200. Overall I like the Cobb green filter setup with the ford racing intake peice

Cool! Interested to see the pictures. Did you use something to hold the cover back so you could cut the hole? Did you use the template in the kit or just wing it?

No template I kind of just placed it where it should go and outlined with sharpie for a tighter fit. The part number listed is M-9a624-fst

Best way to do this is to pop the front upper grill off, then un clip the airflow duct from the bumper and just hold both Bumper and air flow duct back with your hand and use a dreamer or small jig saw to cut out the holes. Once the first hole is cut then plcae the air flow duct back down and hold the bumper back, you wil see a samll area that needs to get trimmed to allow the intake tube to slide in to the proper location with ease. The intake is a bit of a tight fit but with some muscle it's will slide in. The standard non electric bumper and non st bumper are harder to get the intake to fit Because it get close to the intake snorkel tube and almost rubs it.

After two tanks of gas here is what I noted, the intake works smoother with the k&n drop in vs cobb/green filter replacment. Noise level did get quiter with the k&n but for a smoother power range it was worth it. The car felt solid up to redline. My second note is that during my highwy commute of 65mph I noticed my gas milage increase to 41 instead of 39. I also noticed that while driving in the city the gas milage dropped to 34 from 36 driving to 30-35mph.

the intake overall was not as hard to stick in in the front bumper with out removing it but the down side is you need to use some muscle and risk some busted knuckles which I did not mind.

This intake compared to my steeda or k&n and green filter mod rank second place. Steeda is my overall favorite because its ae easy assembly straight forward intake made for racing and includes a nice velocity stack.overall it's also a great price

The ford racing is my second favorite because it's more of a surprise kind of intake system. The intake takes air from the direct front of the car so the air will always be fresh and cold. The intake also does not increase noise a whole lot compared to the stock intake. This i feel has a smoother power band and
prqoduces power imediately at the touch of the gas pedal and keeps power all the way through the band. the only down side is the price tag of 299.99 which is a real turn off.

The green filter is my third becuase it produces Excellent power overall but the filter I feel has times where it feels like it struggles to keep a smooth power band.

My least favorite is k&n, not to get into details but I had problems getting the filter to stay on and it was a nightmare. It was also a big production to install compared to steeda. This intake is not for me.

After taking the front end off today to re-install the air dam removed with snorkel delete and looking over everything really good I would have to agree with you the steeda would be the best choice for purchases. But K&N drop in with just snorkel delete and little mod I did needed new filter anyway and got it for a little more the the stock ford one can't beat the price. LOL
