Recaros

I know, it's been beat to death but I want an ST and I'm 6'4" 320lbs and can't sit in a Recaro. Is there any way Ford can offer an option of the base ST seats with the ST2 package? Or better yet the Titanium interior. If enough people holler, Ford might listen. I've read many of the seat threads and I know they could sell more cars. How about it? I'll be glad to guinea pig the first one.

Your best bet is to get the st2 and trade your seats for some ti seat +money.

Two Dogs.. You could make a few thousand FREE trading someone the Ricaro seats.
Ask for $2K or $3K (highest bidder) to swap the seats (front and back) from you soon to be new ST hatch with some lucky Ti hatch owner.
Naturally the deal would need to be pretty close to your home town.
I personally would get a contract signed up, and check the doors and especially the rear door inserts to see if they will acommodate the seat bolter etc.. with the switch.
((Nothing worse than to find out one persons rear doors will no longer close due to seat incompatibility!))
Remember YOU are the one with the prized possession. PLENTY of Ti owners would love to have Recaro seating.. So do NOT give them away..
(Also your ST will be worth less without the seats..
So go for the bidding and good luck. Personally I would start the bidding at $2,000. they pay YOU. You could split the labor costs.

X2 on the buy the car then post an ad for trade plus cash on the other person's end. I just did this on my leather seats. It took about 20 minutes to swap seats and we both were on our way again
