Well that stinks. 8% on the K&N intake today on AA so I got all excited since it would be like $220 with that + the 15% first time customer discount. Alas the discounts cannot be used together and AA wouldn't play ball.
The waiting continues... lol

Would be nice if they price matched Amazon and then could use that 15%. Would be around 210$ after everything, plus whatever shipping costs would be.

Yea that would be great. The guy I spoke with didn't even hint at any further discounts than the 15% I could apply. I wonder if they could be tricked into price matching then we use the coupon on our own?

I think its free shipping from AA and I know Amazon had it prime (of which I'm a member)

I have Prime as well. But if I can get it for even less, I'd love it. Why spend more if I don't have to? lol. But Is the coupon a code that is sent to you when you register or something?

The coupon code is one I found on Retailmenot. I guess its not for first time users but it's still 15%. Only drops it to $240 though, can't be combined with others (including the 8-12% discounts they have on K&Ns every now and again). I agree with you, cheaper wins.

I got the intake. I had it for a day or so and I'm not quite liking it. I can obviously feel the difference tho. Feels faster and reacts better. I'm not big about tthe noise. Sounds awesome but not my thing. Others over it and want it others. I'm going to end up selling it here tho.

Just get a K&N drop-in for $50 on autoanything.com and remove the snorkel (20 minutes). Lots of info here about it and dyno testing shows roughly the same hp increases as the CAIs. I have this and it sounds stock.

Anyone had any problems with the filter on the typhoon intake falling off? A youtube video had a comment where someones kept popping off. Just curious, still trying to decide on what intake to get. Thanks!

You're late to the ball game with that question... There's a thread in here (I'll see if I can find it). A few of us have had the issue. It's a good intake, just may need a little help or tweaking to be perfect. In the 20K miles I've had it, it's come off a couple times. You just need to check the tightness once a month or so, and DON'T OVERTIGHTEN THE CLAMP!!!
