First Car Pricing Questions?

Hi guys, I have a couple questions on getting a new car and was wondering if you could help.

The car i'm looking to get is a black 2013 Ford Focus ST with the 202A package (ST3, has all options). MSRP for this car/packages is $29,825.
At one dealership I can get X-plan and at a different dealership I could get A & Z plan since they are trying to get me to buy the car from them, so I can get A&Z from either dealer. A&Z on the invoice is $27,098.

The lowest priced invoice I got was about $28,500 out the door. That includes taxes, titles, everything. Do you think that is the best they can do on new ST's? ~$1400 is not a big drop, but that doesn't include the taxes and stuff either. The salesmen told me that would be the price he could buy the car for, but $100 more for him.

Is the dealer taking a loss for me since this would be my first car, and they know i'd come back because of it, which I would?

Thanks

AZ is the best price available. The dealership gets a kickback for selling below dealer invoice so they aren't losing money.

So that is the absolute best price I could be getting? It seems like I could be getting a lot more off since I hear people saying I got 5k off that car after taxes and I would only be getting 1.4k. The holdback on the car is 889, and he said they dipped into that a little bit. I'm kind of confused on how they would make money off of me if they are selling it and only have ~600 on their holdback.

People claiming $5,000 off are buying non ST cars. Rebates and z plan adds up to $5,000

Okay, so that's the absolute best for this car?

Let's put it this way, most people would kill for a/z plan pricing.

I have been looking at one recently also in the tangerine scream. I like the color for its uniqueness I guess but I'm not completely sold on it. A question I have IMC, is how does it work if another dealer 30 miles away has a car I would want, say a blue st instead of the orange? I know as far as getting the car isn't an issue but what about pricing? Are they obligated to sell for what the list is or will they mark it down like the one they have on their lot? The orange one on their lot is stickered at 28.3 and they have it marked down to 25.7. The blue has a sticker price of 27.7. Something I should have asked today but didn't remember to. Your help is appreciated!

Depends a lot on the dealerships involved. If they swap ST's there shouldn't be an issue but if they have to sell it to the other dealer they don't receive the holdback on the car.
