I don't have it installed on my car yet, but prior to purchasing the kit I went to my dealer and snapped these phone photos-

Depending on the color of vehicle that you get, some of them look really good. Unfortunately some, like the one above, aren't color-matched very well.

And here's my kit that showed up yesterday-

Those would look sweet painted piano black against my red candy.

Why wouldn't that kit work on the sedan? Rocker panels and lower bumpers are identical aren't they?

The rear bumper cover is longer on the sedan on the outer edges as the car is 6.9" longer with the same wheel base. The lower valance would be 6.9" short of reaching the wheels if you tried this. It looks identical from a distance, however that is because it keeps the same design elements stock.

The front valance and side skirts will work 100% but the rear valance does not fit the sedan. If there was a Zetec kit for the estate it might be a touch too long also in the rear, but would be much closer than the hatch.

What Ben said. 75% of the kit fits 100% of the Focus every time. The rear-not so much. And are you saying that you would paint the whole thing black? I think it would look good but the piano black accents would disappear. Painting the pieces red would visually lower your car (see the one next to it) and allow the piano black to stand out more.

Oh yeah I forgot about that.

Good point, but if getting an exact hue match is a concern then black will work every time. I have strong doubts a body shop would be able to perfectly match my red candy metallic tinted clearcoat, and others like the white tri-coat.

Yeah, I'm highly anxious about having mine painted. My body-shop understands my CDO and has offered to do paint cards for my approval. Pretty smart, methinks, because ultimately whatever they spray was my choice.

Edit: Whatever color you choose, I would definitely consider having them wrapped in clear vinyl. Even with splash guards, my OEM rocker panels have taken a beating...
