None. It detects when my wife is there and turns the airbag on, turns it off when my backpack with 2 laptops in it is there.

If you're referring to the wire loops holding the cloth to the foam, then 2 needle nosed pliers will work just fine.

I was wishing the Titanium came with heated and cooled seats. I wonder if the stock unit can just be replaced with this:http://www.seatcomfortkit.com/servle...-Motors/Detail
I wish the Focus controlled the seat temperature through the climate control on the MFT like the Taurus and Fusions can.

For someone who is a beginner with cars and modifications, what is the difficulty level? Should I attempt it on my own?

For a beginner, I would say the difficulty level is about a 7 out of 10. You should be fine, just take your time and take plenty of pic so you can reference them and see how it goes back together.

The proper way to install heater pads is to remove the cloth or leather seat covers and tape the pad down onto the cushion and then reinstall the covers. That way you ensure the pad doesn't get bunched up. The correct tool to install upolstery is called hog ring pliers. You can get them at just about any small mom and pop hardware store. Don't go to homeless depot or blowes, the tools that work there most likely don't even know what hog ring pliers are let alone what they look like or how to use them. I paid 15 bucks for mine about 5 years ago at a true value store and that was with a box of 100 hog rings.
