Info is garnered via lots of research. There are many accessible documents pertaining to the Auto manufacturers future platform planning.

For example suss60052 is correct when he mentions the next redesign C346N 2 (Focus) start of production is 1st quarter of 2017.
Ford's One Ford plan is to have car launches, refreshes, redesigns in sync throughout their global operations. Obviously this is not always possible because of conditions in other markets, EG- the long delay of the new Mondeo in Europe etc etc.
But unless something very drastic happens with the current Focus assembly plants globally, the Focus refresh due for MY2015, and the redesign as mentioned above due MY2017, North America, Europe & China Focus assembly plants will be doing these changes at the same times. Or at least within a few weeks of each markets launches.

BTW the above time line for the Focus changes are pertaining to Ford's North American market planning.

FYI, from the same document I read the Ford North America information re the Focus, there was info on the Cruze being redesigned with start of production in the 4th quarter 2014. And apparently on a new global (delta) designed platform code name D2SC.

So is there a sports package or equivalent to get rear discs? I'll be honest, that was 95% of the reason I got the sport package in '12. What options were there for rear discs in 13?

SE-SFE sedan with 16" steel wheels with aero covers comes with the DCT and rear disk brakes in 2013, the SE 201A package also comes with rear disk brakes and either a manual or DCT transmission, however that's a $2640 option package that takes the SE to SEL 302A levels of equipment (black leather seats, 17" wheels, rear disk brakes, etc.

It's been added to the order guide for job 2 2013 orders, and is essentially the European Zetec S kit minus the grilles and rear spoiler. It's also only available from the factory on the hatch.

The front and side skirts fit either model, but the rear valance is not interchangable yet.
