Buy-Sell-Trade Rating: (1) are correct. The ZTS was a special option but was otherwise just a ZX3 with a trunk. That's essentially what we have in the new sedans. It's not like there was ever an SVT sedan option. I guess I am appeased. I'll just have to wait until the MK3's are old enough to fall into my price range so I can build my own nasty sedan!

Considering that we are not talking about racing cars, any difference in rigidity is meaningless.

The reason is simple:
The lack of a ST sedan is a marketing decision.
Just as with the Mazda 3, the hatch is considered to be the "sporty" one.
