Anything behind/under that little area to right of instrument panel?

Was wondering if there was room to put in some sort of flexible phone mount coming from there, so I could shove it into that area when not in use and pull it out so phone is right next to me whne i want it.

Just curious. Does it just come off with the instrument panel protection dash thingy?

That little, useless pocket?
Yes it comes off with the gauge trim/surround.

Um someone moved this to MK3, I put it in general. I have an MK1. I do have an 03 focus wagon (although in green state so Duratec engine FTW).

Tundrafoci, how did you secure it there? I ordered mine (bit more expensive then others) because it seemed the longest of the ones out there (besides the one made for desks that's like 3 feet long which is too long). I know I have to take off suction cup and see what's under there, just curious how yours worked.

I basically made that whole stand/charger. It's a metal bracket on the back of that w/ a cheap ebay case for my phone i modified and Qi charger back. It's stuck up there with super strong double sticky tape. Seems to be working just fine. I might screw it in, in the future if it comes loose but it's been a couple months now with no problems. I'll get another pic when i go out to my car today.
