headlight replacement

Hi,

i took a 2x4 in my right light, bulbs are out due to moisture getting them

i found this on ebay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/02-05-Ford-F...61e28d&vxp=mtr

my left one is fogged really badly, and i think i should get two but i am broke.

are there any cheap alternatives?

is this a good unit?

I got a regular set of halogen lights, but that means buying another grille and re wiring .

your tips and advice please

You can get the Depo Mach replacements on Amazon for cheaper than the ebay one and they are supposed to be very good quality. You would still need bulbs and would need to transfer the ballast and ignitor from your broken headlights over.

Headlights:

http://www.amazon.com/Depo-330-1124R.../dp/B004I1CXHU

Decent, cheap D2S bulbs:

BTW, If you still have the weather stripping on your old headlights and its in good condition I might be willing to buy it for a reasonable price.

thanks for the links, i will take a peek at the stripping.

seems that the way to go is just leaving the hids,, its just a money issue for me.

i will let you know what the stripping looks like. if they are okay you can have them for the cost of shipping and packing them up

Yes, but you'll also need this with the H4 harness (IIRC): http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=242

That would be amazing. I've been searching around for quite a while for those weather strips. Send me a PM whenever you get around to checking out their condition. Thanks!

its fragged, i just got around to removing it today.

installed new bulbs into the new lense from depot and it all works

when putting the ballast on i did notice a tiny bit of white corrosion on a couple of the pin connections sockets .
