Not sure if this is the right thread for this - but since i am doing this build - and we are going to need to put power to the street - figured a CLUTCH question was ok.

Exedy Stage 2 Thick Clutch - could not find the specs on New Thickness vs. Duty Cycle minimimuns anywhere - hence these pics - what do you guys think? I suspect this clutch has roughly 1500 race miles on it....am i way off?

Came this far - what about cams ????

Ok, so the 2.5L block is on its way - but wont be here for a few more days as i need to travel for business....so, started thinking about dropping some crane cams on top of this nice polished 2.3L head i have been working on for a week.

What are the collective thoughts on cams? Seeing as i bought the cossie im to insure no restrictions feeding the bigger bore/stroke/appettite of the 2.5L block - and reading some of the posts on the cossie IM being essentially a low end torque killer (ohhhh boy) - my thought is the right cams / springs now could really top off this project.

Again, goal is just 200hp clean and reliable with a 2.3L head on a 2.5L lower - cossie intake on one side, obx header on the other - no cat, etc

I should be close right?

Your going to have LOTS of restriction feeding the 2.5 bottom end , you cannot even port the 2.3 to flow what the 2.5 head does stock or close to it

I feel your making a HUGH mistake not going with the 2.5 head

Its a combinations of parts to make it work properly and your just throwing things at it , need to slow down and make everything work together or your going to be unhappy and changing parts later , this will take weeks to get ready so you have time , do it right the first time and you will save money and be happier , ask Mike about that lol

That clutch looks practically new. Here is a picture of mine before installing. PM me if you don't use that 2.3 head. I might have a use for it on my turbo 2.0 if the price is right.

Back from Business Trip

Ok, took a few days off working on this rascal to head to VEGAS for a little business trip.....got off the red eye this morning and needed to wrench

Got the old 2.3 Block stripped to cover the CORE CHARGE when they drop off the new motor

Then, started to put the head, intake, throttle body, etc together (as one of th threads mentioned the Plenum is a BIOTCH to do when the motor is back in the bay.

Gotta admit....looking good - and cant wait to see how that 2.5L lower adds a bit of grunt.
