2001 SE, bought her in '07. I've been very lucky because in the 6 years I've owned the car, there have been MINIMAL issues.

'10 - battery needed replacing (probably not worth mentioning). driver side window regulator/motor needed replacing.
'13 - (last 2 weeks) check engine light came on. car was stalling while idling. needed new mass air sensor & pcv valve. engine mount has worn down, that's why my car vibrates a lot.

Overall, I'm very pleased :) After my car sees its last days, I would definitely buy another Focus :D

P O S 2012 focus titanium BLOWN MOTOR

my wife bought a new 12 focus titanium we had it in dealer for bluetooth at least 15 times they fixed it by software updates that removed a portion of the things she bought the car for (no big deal)
THEN the motor started knocking ,towed to dealer after tear down it needed a motor
FORD said we would have to pay for it (23k miles)they said we never changed oil and car stil had original oil filter even though we paid ford to change oil at 500 miles and at 4000 miles then i changed oil myself and saved reciepts
(I AM AN ASE CERT MASTER TECH)
they charged me $550 tear down and i had to pay $125 to tow to house
when i pulled motor out it had oil driping out of intake manifold and throttle body
cylinders 1 & 2 have about 3/16th inch of burnt oil/carbon build upon the back side of the valve (its no wonder it sucked all the oil out of the crank case in les than a week (FORD REGIONAL DIRECTOR TOD US THEY WONT PAY TO FIX IT)
I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL FORD CUSTOMER FOR 35 YEARS AND TALKED NUMEROUS PEOPLE TO BUY FORD

I WILL NEVER BUY ANOUTHER FORD AGAIN
AND THE ONLY FORD I WILL EVER OWN NOW IS MY 1961 ECONOLINE PICKUP
I HAVE PICS OF VALVES AND ALL REPAIRS BUT DONT KNOW HOW TO UPLOAD

FORD CORP SUCKS

Mine is a 2006 ZX3 SES. Mine has 104,000 miles on it. So far the only expensive thing I've had to replace that isn't a normal wear and tear item is the radiator thermostat. I love the car and plan on keeping it until it becomes a money pit.

I used to have a 2001 ZTS, and for some reason mine had a lot of problems with the cooling system. I had to get the radiator replaced, new thermostat housing, replaced all the hoses, the fan assembly, you name it. Needed a new engine mount. Had random issues like the blower motor going out and only running on 4, trunk release button stopped working, and the radio would randomly turn on and off on its own. It had 131,000 miles on it when it was totaled.

I really hope my 2006 ZX3 doesn't give me as many problems as my 2001 did, but so far so good!

I just had my fan for the HVAC go down to low speed on its own after I started the car and drove it awhile, but it happens intermittently and it smelled like burning plastic when it happened. Sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't. Anybody know what might be wrong before I bring it in to get fixed?
