Broken Antenna - Coupe

Well , busted my antenna off in a car wash today

Everything I've found is for the sedans with a dome light in the back - how do you go about fixing this on a coupe without a dome light (2008)?

Sheared the antenna clean off at the base-

It looks like I can just get the antenna and it must screw in?

[ 1 ] ELECTRICAL / ELECTRICAL / ANTENNA / Antenna mast
antenna mast W/SATELLITE RADIO, to 9/10/09

MSRP Core ? Online Price
$18.86 $0.00 $15.54

[ 2 ] ELECTRICAL / ELECTRICAL / ANTENNA / Base
base W/SATELLITE RADIO

MSRP Core ? Online Price
$101.24 $0.00 $83.41

The pic looks like it shows something sticking out of the base - so maybe I'll have to get the base and the antenna as well...

I have my antenna off the car. PM me if you want it, I have no use for it. I have the sedan so can't help with whether it is different or not, although I'd assume not. Mine just screws on and there isn't anything sticking out of the base, it just screws right into the base.

Gotta tinker - the antenna was just dumb luck...

Meh - nothing drastic, but yeah... lol.

Still nobody has ever worked on the antenna on a coupe without a dome light?

My antenna broke off (Number #1 and #2) and I had to buy a replacement. Ford gave me the wrong antennae (it was non satellite -__-) but it turned out I could just switch #5 with the one that managed to stay on my car.

Option 1: When I went to Ford and asked them for a new one (mind you my car is still under warranty) they told me unless a car wash broke it off, they can't replace it under warranty. If it did, then you may still have a chance to get it fixed under warranty if you tell them what happened and where it happened.

Option 2: I bought a new one and they were going to charge me a butt load of money to get it fixed. So I decided to tackle the job at home. I got my friend to help me which you will need. The only thing that's going to suck is to get to the antenna because it I used the hole for my rear dome light and the end of my headliner to get to it and screw everything in. I think your only option would be to get the headliner off. OR if you don't want to do that, bend the rear of your headliner enough to get to it. but you will only risk creasing it. After that it's just a simple plug and fasten to your car.

Idk if this helped but it isn't difficult, just a pain in the butt. O and don't leave your car in the sun before you work on it. You're going to end up burning the hell out of your hand
