i didnt use any sealant what so ever. For me i gave the car a quick wash then applied turtle hard shell wax. The layer itself has been good and is supposed to be a once a year car wax...However i'm applying a second layer soon. It has been just over a month of owning the vehicle

I am a real believer in a clay bar job before you put a wax over the whole thing instead of just waxing over the rail dust and other contaminents on a new car that have accumulated from the factory to the dealer and then how long has it been sitting on the lot collecting even more grit and grime.

Just take a ball of cotton on your new paint and run it across and if it drags then you have crap on the paint.
