for anyone that debated the weathertech vs. husky mats (vs. factory rubber mats) i sure did -

ended up going with Husky because of this exact problem. here's what the Husky mats look like up there:

Yep that covers everything and I found them here for pretty cheap $124 for front and rear: http://www.autoaccessoriesgarage.com...r-Floor-Liners
or here, same price and they have the cargo mat: http://www.drivingcomfort.com/index....15752&addcar=1

Pretty foolish of Ford not to put something there besides the carpet. Even their carpet mats don't cover it. My solution was a piece of nonskid material, about $8.00 in the Wal-Mart auto section. It is heavy black rubber with a non-skid design with a peel and stick adhesive back. I cut a template to fit and transferred it to the rubber. Make sure the carpet is clean and dry. Peal the backing off and stick in place. It's a good idea to peel the paper down about 1/2 way from the top and get your alignment correct on the bottom then press the top in place then raise the bottom slightly and gently pull the rest of the backing paper off. Press firmly in place and it's done.
I did this several months ago and it has stayed in place just fine. I don't know how easily it would come off but I would think a little heat with a hair dryer should remove it. The $8 item has 2 pieces, enough to do two cars or to have a spare.

Ordered the eBay Ford aluminum pedal covers...can't wait to get them on! $20 delivered. I got Weather Tech all-weather floor mats...the driver side has a cover for the absent dead pedal so I skipped it..protects it well.

Guys, for the gas pedal, does the tab on the end go up or down? Help! Love these for $20 but no instructions

What are the Husky mats made out of? Are they rubber and will squeak with any moisture? I hate that noise...
