The standard ones on the 2013 Titanium are a PITA to clean.

Guess I'm a little happier I went for the handling pkg wihich has the 5 spoke 18's then. Wasn't aware of the larger turning radius at the time, though. Am getting used to it, but it's a PITA as well; sometimes feels like I'm parking a semi!

Interesting that the engine is flipped around from the 2.0. That must have cost some money for Ford.

Well, my average is 7.2 Lts X 100 Kmts (We use Lts/100 Kmts).
If my calculations are correct is near 33mpg.

Your fuel efficiency almost identical with 1.6 Ti-VCT

I think most of the europeans preferred diesel (TDCi)
Would like to know why did you choose 1.0L Ecoboost?

I'm 2.0L TDCi (120Kw/163PS) owner
My fuel effciency is around 5.6~5.7Ltr/100KM

I had spent 9 days trip in Spain 4 years ago (Rent a golf and drive it all the ways)
Very nice and friendly country

Wow, that's not as high as I thought or what I read Ford claiming the fuel economy of the 1.0L to be.

I am getting around 32-33 MPG combined with my 2.0L GDI. I have hit 44 MPG on the highway, that was on a one way trip 40 miles at 65MPH.

Ha, one of my close friends got a 2012 Jetta not too long ago after his used 2001 Audi A6 Quattro crapped out. (Told him it would) So, without consulting someone who knows anything about cars walked away with a Jetta with that SAME engine! Can you believe that VW is actually still offering that thing? 115HP and 125lb/ft in a car weighing 3100lbs is every bit as slow as it sounds.

On the plus side he did opt for a manual so its a little bit more live-able.

European preferences are very different from those in the United States.
Diesel engines vs. gasoline is close to 5:1 in favor of diesel.
Manual vs. automatic transmission is 50:1 in favor of the manual transmission.
And hatchback vs sedan is 30:1 in favor of hatchback.

No its not. Latest figures for 2012 was almost 50/50 diesel vs petrol engine sales.
But the numbers if based on new retail car sales, diesel sales are quite low.
Diesel sales are propped up by new fleet car sales, aka, rentals, company cars etc.

Info from some German Focus 1.0 EB owners shows average fuel consumption around 45 mpg (US gallons).
The day I had one for testing, I average around 50 mpg (US gallons).
Where I live it is flat geography, which helps big time. If you live in hilly, mountainous etc regions, cold weather etc the averages are what they are.

IMO the 1.0 EB in the Focus is a fun powertrain, along with the 6 speed manual.

YHPM!

I'd be interested in driving a 1.0EB when it comes to the US. The 2.0EB in my parents escape is amazing for low end torque!
