Coming from someone who actually has this this kit. I will tell you it is night and day over stock. I've never had a brake system stop with that much force. It's a solid pedal every time I use the brakes. No brake fade.

I played around with them stopping at various speeds, but i didn't see the full benefit till it came time to use them with out thinking. I had a deer walk out in front of me, I stood on the pedal it stopped with so much force it tried to pull me to the floor I had to scoot back in the seat afterward. I will recommend these to anyone, I've had them a month now with no issues.

If you do a proper break in, you will get the performance out of them that you would expect. If you get the powerstop 1 click kit it comes with powerstops ceramic pads.

good to hear. hoping for similar results on my 2012.

my current rotors are also pretty grooved. which is disappointing for the mileage. But they'd definitely need cut.

in the end I think this kit was worth the $. hopefully I get similar performance to yours.

I still plan too. I going to get steel braided lines, and when I have the caliper out to do that I will clean it up. I don't want to take time to mask everything off while its still on the car. My luck something will have over spray on it.

Race cars? Do they change them after every race?
Sorry, I was thinking one thing and typing another. Rate is part of it but the bigger part is "delta T" or the total change in temperature. In the race environment, the brakes usually fluctuate between hot and very hot, never getting a chance to completely cool off like they can on a personal vehicle going down the highway getting ready to exit and come to a complete stop from highway speeds. Going from winter time cold to very hot at the bottom of an exit ramp is a prime way to warp some rotors. That is why I mentioned the preheat technique.

^^ This race car brakes are always hot, warpage is almost never an issue.

Looks like it's been nearly two months since the Power Stop brake install. Anything good or bad to report?

I had this kit on my Envoy. Altima & Maxima. I liked them as far as performance. The last set I painted the rotor hats which helped with the rust. First two cars I didn't and there were small amounts of rust on a few rotors within a year. Granted I'm in northern IL and we get lots of salt in the winter.

That is my only complaint was the rotors did rust fairly fast.
