Interior squeaks

The plastic dash cluster piece and my armrest (only when putting pressure on it) squeak like a son of a gun and drive me nuts. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, have you come up with a solution? I can have a quick temper, and rather not start punching things...

Thanks.

Mine do this too at cirtain RPMs. It drives me crazy. I think its actually the plastic over the tach that vibrates on mine.

Yep. I've stuck pieces of notecard in there to keep the two surfaces from rubbing. It looks trashy, but it mostly works..

Try putting a little bit of oil on the hinges of your arm rest. That may help with some of the squeaking. After that start tracking down the panels that rattle and wedge some thin weather stripping in between the panels. Use small pieces and push it in as far as you can so you don't have to look at it. Be aware that once you tackle the major rattles you may notice other quieter rattles you didn't hear before.
