Off topic question (sort of) anyone know where I could get a Hong Kong style plate similar to the EU plate sites? I googled but came up empty.

I see people blow by me on the highway doing 100+, but that doesn't make it legal. Just because someone gets away with it the one time you see them doesn't mean anything. What you aren't seeing are tons of plates on the fronts of cars that couldn't get away with it (because it looks like a regular car at that point).

maybe so, but , of course, that's your opinion which i don't really care about.
The fact is, i've lived in europe on and off over the years and it's simply a souvenir. As well, despite you feeling it's 'dorky', i get many positive inquires about it and many folks who ask me about it and aren't 'in the know' think i had the car registered in europe and brought it back w/ me which , i will admit, is kinda funny.

Well, I spent the first sixteen years of my life in Europe, but you don't see me stacking various plates on the back of my car. Why? Because it's dorky. Also, what's a "positive inquiry"?

I agree, I never understood why people put Euro Plates on their cars here but that's America, isn't bad enough I have to look at the latest fad stickers "Salt Life", "Dirt Life", Deer Head sticker (also comes in pink for woman), "26.2", "13.2" and etc. stickers.

I am just glad Florida doesn't require front plates.

Hey "Salt Life" is awesome, that is a fairy tale of rags to riches.

Fads lol. "Local Motion", OP-I never see anyone wear it anymore, Neon lights, "cookie cutters" they all go away at some time. Just like an STD.

"Salt Life" is big here as is the Guy Harvey stickers, a lot go away in time sooner the better. The family stickers, worse yet the ones with Mickey Mouse ears are the ultra cheesiest so far, can't forget Tapout.

1990's day glow wiper blades and license plate frames, "Oakley" stickers, fake bullet holes.

I also notice people in states where front plates are not required installing plates from other states or if they lived there they never took them off when they relocated.

I run my Germany plates here in the US on the front. Hell I have a wall full of them in the garage.
