sct site says to upgrade the flasher?

I went to the sct site & they say to upgrade the flashers. To download the latest program or what ever. Anyone know about this? I haven't done this as my car runs great w/ no issues so why? It says x3/sf3 urgent upgrade, critical update, what does this mean?

I'm not updating my flasher or the one for the 6 liter either for they both run strong. Whats the purpose of this?

My opinion is ... If its working and datalogging leave it alone , I have had so much trouble with my customers updating and then having problems they have never had before

I wouldnt update !

Same here, I wouldn't update unless it was needed. Like Tom said I have seen a few people update theirs and cause all sorts of problems. Heck I even think one bricked his car and had to send his ECU to SCT so they could flash it back for him or something like that.

Another vote for not updating. If it works, don't mess with it.

I had an issue where an update caused me all sorts of weird problems with my SF3 and required SCT to re-format it.

While I'm not currently using it, I do keep my flash device updated.

Yeah, I agree with everyone else. To upgrade it you need to flash your car back to stock. I wouldn't mess with it.
