Anyone have any experience with Hankook?

Hi all,

I recently purchased 2 new Hankook Ventus H105's from Tire Rack to complement the 2 I purchased in November. All 4 were mounted by Sears Automotive. When they mounted the 2nd pair for me a couple of weeks ago, they pointed out that the other two have bubbles in the sidewall. They said it could be a manufacturing defect since it's unusual to have this happen after only 6 months of light use. But BOTH tires? Now I'm concerned about the 2 I just bought.

Has anyone else had any issues with Hankook? I thought this was a good brand.

Well Hankook is a reliable enough brand for Ford to use from the factory (my 07 came stock with them and I never had issues.)

Have you seen/hit any noticeable potholes over the last six months? Did you happen to get the road hazard warranty on either of the tires? You can always reach out to tirerack and see what they have to say.

No potholes or anything that I recall, never one of those bumps that make you wince afterward and apologize to the car. 25 miles to work every day and back. Winter was mild this year so only a couple of snowstorms; the roads weren't nearly as beat up from the plows as previous years. Also no dents in the rim or anything. I'm going to try my luck with Tire Rack now that I have the pictures uploaded to my computer, but not feeling warm and fuzzy about it.

I've got Hankook Dyna Pros on my old school Suburban that I drive on/off road, tow over 12,000 lbs (GVWR)(raise inflation pressures to the max and back when done) and I've had zero issues. The brand is G2G in my book.

Well, Tire Rack seems to be standing behind their products...I had a few friendly emails back and forth with customer service and they gave me call tags to send back the bad tires. I purchased a replacement pair of Hankook Ventus H105's and am sending back the bad ones today. Haven't gotten credit back yet but I'll keep you posted.
