MFD Screen is Blank?

1,800 miles on my 2012 Titanium. Been gone a few days and started it up and the screen is blank. Tried several cycles and no luck. The audio is on but wont even respond to the power button.

Any thoughts before I take it to the dealer tomorrow?

Greg

I had the same problem the other day and mine said UPDATING on the screen and then everything was back to normal, I just shut the car off for a minute and restarted and all was good.

Hey, jetfuelgm -

Is your Titanium equipped with the latest software (3.0.2)? I'd like to look into this further, please reply via PM and include your VIN so I can do so.

More MFT Issues

20,000 miles on my 2012 Titanium and the MFT is digressing again. Recently, it took 15 minutes for the GPS to update to my position. Voice recognition has been slow or non-responsive. My biggest frustration is when I'm driving down the road and turn on the radio and it comes on very loud and then the volume drops down.

Guess I'll invest more of my time to take it to the Ford Dealer to look at AGAIN.

Which software level are you currently on, jetfuelgm?

Just got the latest software last week. While driving later that evening the radio was dead and the sync wouldn't work. It started working the next day. Now my GPS is acting up, again. I zoom in and within seconds it zooms out. And, when I turn the radio on while driving it comes on very loud, then quiets down. Pretty embarrassing when I have a client or my boss in the car.

I am scheduled to bring it to the dealer, again, on Tuesday for another "fix". Last week I grabbed the sales manager and gave him a heads up that this car may be coming back to him. I honestly believe the MFT is flawed and I just want a car that works. Trouble is I have a very low expectation that I will be treated fairly on a trade or exchange. Maybe Ford will do the right thing and take care of me.

What are the odds?

2012 Titanium MFT problem

Well, It's 2014 and I'm driving a Toyota Camry. I appealed to Ford to take it back and they blamed the MFT issues on my Iphone. Seriously. Well, the iphone was on the approved list when I bought it. They acted like it was public knowledge and the sad part was the local dealer pulled their hair out trying to "fix" the problem. I asked the appeal person how long they've known about this and they responded with silence.

I appealed a second time and they declined to make it right with me.

I tried to trade it in to my dealer and was not given any consideration at all. So I took $5k in negative equity and went to Toyota.

Does it take joining a class action lawsuit to compel Ford to treat a customer fairly?

So much history with MFT problems and they choose to take the low road.

Ford, a dismal failure to do the right thing. Goodbye.
