Blown my engine, looking for some pointer how to remove the engine

I recently blew my engine, piston rod on cylinder #1 broke and went thru the block, Ford doesn't want to do the job on the warranty because I have headers and one of the O2 sensor was off and ran richer, did some over rev andblah blah blah , this is not the issue. Anyone got some pointers how to remove the engine? I started to make some place, was thinking of removing most of the front end to make some working place. I'm used to work on RWD V8 but it's my first time on a FWD. So any pointers are welcome to make me save some time! I'll post some pictures of the process

Well, looks like you'll be paving the way for diy workers and their 12-13 focus'. Granted, I hope I never have to pull the motor.

Wow, thats a bummer to hear that. I'd pull the hood & front bumper cover off. Drain the coolant & ps fluild. You can pull it from the top or bottom. Last time I did a earlier d-tech it came tru the bottom w/ the car jacked up on 4 jack stands.

So far I've removed my hood, battery box and air intake. I'm looking at removing header panel/bumper but I feel dumb can't manage to disconnect the goddamn headlight connector...
