ZX3 with SVT suspension. 17" or 18"?

New to Focus, new to forum. I've got a zx3 with svt suspension upgrade which apparently lowers the car .5". I currently have some moda 16" wheels and looking to get 17 or 18 but can't decide.

Will 18" fit ok? Since its only a half inch drop, will it look silly? It would be nice if I could see pictures of zx3, svt suspension with 17 & 18 so I can get a better idea.

Thanks!

All Svt's came with 17" wheels. My picture is bellow with 17 inch wheels and 45 tires.

IMO 18" wheels start looking too big on are generation of Foci but that also depends on the style of the wheels.

This is with an SVT suspension like yours with Ford Racing EAP 17" wheels.

The only 18's that looked good on a first gen(imo) were from the Focus RS, which isnt exactly the same as an SVT

Otherwise I agree with 02 above, 18's need some work to look good on our body style

This^^^^^^^^^^^ 17''s are very common size & work great. Use a 215/45 tire.

Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2's in 18x8 on a Gen 1 Focus RS looks pretty sharp too:

Here is a Mk1 Focus on 18x8 Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 wheels.

Suspensions on all of these cars have been dropped more than the SVT suspension.

If you are not up to 18's, there is some great pricing on 17" Pro Race wheels right here on the forum:
Team Dynamics Wheel Buy

Any questions, please let me know. :)
