Pandora has commercials, but they are not as bad as Sirius, you can pay for Pandora One and get no commercials and higher quality audio, only $3.99/month or $36/year. I have the free account and don't mind the commercials too much. Also you can skip songs you don't want to listen to. If you have MyFord not MyFord Touch you can get the app to control and see all the artist info on your screen.

For streaming, I have a T-Mobile Prepaid Plan for $30/month with 100 voice minutes month/Unlimited 4G Data which is available online or in store at Wal-Mart, works great and stream Pandora without issues through a Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

I renewed after the trial period for about $110 but plan on cancelling once the subscription is up.

Here are the reasons why:
1. The news channels (CNN, MSNBC, etc...) are 90% commercials.
2. The comedy channels aren't really that funny--most of the time.
3. The service is spotty in my city so it cuts in and out at various locations along the work commute.
4. I only listen to two channels, a couple others once in awhile.
5. The sound quality is crap.
6. It's too expensive.

Slacker Radio or Pandora is cheaper and sounds much better.

I've had 6 vehicles that came with a free 6 month trial and I have let everyone of them expire. I see no reason to pay for something that has been free for the last 80 years. Besides if there is nothing on the standard radio worth listening to, I still have my iPod with 6K songs on it.

I only listen to a few stations, I don't have a smartphone, but I'm only paying $25 for 6 months. It is kind of a pain to have to call every 6 months, but it is what it is.

Sirius is a must have for me. I listen to the news stations live, and the old time radio station for those classic old time radio shows.
I agree there are way too many commercials. I always thought paid radio should be commercial free.
I also like the options with Sirius for the themed stations direct tuning, logo displayed on the MFT screen, and ability to set search-play options for an artist or song.
And it pays to play the little game of threatening to cancel for better pricing.
But beware... that 50% off offer may involve a term commitment beyond your special pricing.
It's nice new fords come with 6 months of free Sirius.
