bose speakers

i can get some bose front speakers from a broken 2009? corvette. anyway, i was just wondering on how well those speakers are and the quality that they perform at. should i put the work into putting these speakers in or should i spend some cash and get some other speakers instead? i have heard mixed reviews and just wanted to get your opinions on it. i have heard the brand is just a name but i would like to know what you guys think. thanks!

tl;dr are bose speakers good?

If you're just replacing stock speakers with bose units, the sound isn't going to be much improved without sound processing from a head unit or amplifier system.

That said, Bose sucks.

That said, if they're free and they fit, I'd go for it. It'll be better than stock at any rate.

There is a saying that goes something like this, "No Highs, No Lows, Must be Bose"

Anyway if your stockers are working fine they probably will sound better than the bose, so your better off with out them.

The only Bose stuff I have liked is their smaller stuff like our iPod dock which sounds great in a small room but for stand alone speakers there's better out ther and cheaper. I have Kicker KS component speakers in my 4Runner and they sound great for a reasonable price and they work well with hard and heavy music in mind.
