Tires

Not sure if anyone has posted about this but, now that summer is finally here I'm going to get some new tires. But I was wondering if it's possible to get wider tires? Has anyone gotten wider tires? I am going to 17's that's for sure. Just wanted to see if it was possible to go any wider. And if so what size.

I am sure you can go wider, but you may have to put a wider rim on the car as well. I think there is someone on FF running 17x9 wheels with a 235 width tire. If you are staying with the stock 8" rim, than I wouldn't recommend going any bigger than a 225/45/17.
