Headliner adhesive, has anyone used it?

I know there are threads here about glue failing with the headliner, and as a result of that, things rattle inside of it. My car happens to suffer from this. Rather than dealing with the dealer themselves, has anyone purchased headliner adhesive and fixed this issue on their own? If so, was it successful?

I just use three pieces of foam to keep the headliner seperated so no noise. Figured when I go in for the oil change at the dealer I'll have them re-glue it.

If my headliner fails in the first year, its' going back to the dealer. Not going to be fixing it myself, I have had several headliners fail, basically after 12+ years the glue dries out the fabric hangs. That's just pure BS to deal with on a brand new car.

I don't see fabric hanging down, but it looks like the retention features in the overhead console are the cause. Is your car still under warranty?

As for the re-glue I would make the dealership take care of it. Did ours in a couple hours.

I pulled it out enough to get my hands in there and attached industrial strength velcro.
