Looking to turbo, but on a budget

Hey guys, this is my first time posting here and im looking for some advise. I'm currently running the 2005 2.0L duratec with a K&N CAI and custom cat back exhaust. I'm looking to get more speed and power, so I've been considering a turbo (stage 1 or 2?) Or a motor swap.
Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks

I've been looking at that one. Is $4000 kind of the going rate, or is that on the high end?

im not sure how much more speed you will gain as the car was limited to 115...but that is achievable in 4th with an extra thou or so to coax outta 5th. so with a limiter removed maybe 135ish? better upgrade the tires to handle the speed also...

but with a turbo or engine swap youll get up to speed a helluva lot quicker

you can go to the fswerks website and look at dyno charts. A stage 2 2.0 dura will usually put down around 215-220whp.

just remember that if you double the power you are cutting the life of the engine in half. stock components just cant take the abuse. but as a dd you will not be doing hole shots and loading the components all the time so you should expect a better lifespan than half

Keep in mind all the small stuff you need that some kits don't come with. And a programmer and tuning. It's adds up quick. A boosted car and a boosted car dont go together. Not sure what your clutch can handle but keep that in mind also.
