I sold it, something wasn't right with it. When I turned the engine for the first time the cams ran into the cam cover and damaged it. I told Dominic but he blamed me entirely. Not sure how you install a cam cover wrong, but whatever. So I took a loss and sold it on ebay. The guy that got it from australia was super happy with it, not sure what he did to fix it or how so.

Yep I buy almost everything I can from them. I have one of there large weatherpack kits too. You'll see some on my engine bay once its all together. If you look closely at the plywood test board, you'll see my e-pump has a weatherpack on it :)

You should see my firewall connector for the engine loom, thing is sexxxyyy (and according to mouser, made of gold).

Terminals are almost a 1.00 each, so I've been putting off getting them. Might order them in a few days, need to get a move on with this so I can make it to the StLouis meet.


For those of you that like the stand alone, I got the waterpump tested other day. When I shut the car off it runs until the engine is 10f below set point (185f in my case) or 2 mins..which ever comes first. Its pretty f'ing awesome. No turbo timer :)

Honestly I don't know, its built for 9k but not sure if I'll take it that high or not. It might even be able to do more, rods were weighed within a decimal of a gram of each other, and balanced, then pistons were weighed the same way. Then they we're matched and all taken within a decimal of a gram of each other. Flywheel was done the same, with clutch and without. Lots of money sitting there. Not sure if I'm a gambling man or not.

If I do, I may get crower to make me a set of custom turbo cam's for that RPM.

BTW that's a gtx2867r (thanks Trevor @ Real Street!) .86 hotside

This Saturday I have a few friends coming over, going to wire in megasquirt, carputer, Lilliput and everything else. Then if time permits I'll drop the engine in. If not, I can do it myself sunday or Monday night. After that I'll have to modify the downpipe for the new tial housing, then schedule a appointment at a local friends shop. He's going to do the IC piping (well redo what I screwed up) and cage it.

After that I'm pretty much done. I have more mods sitting around for it, but I'm going to hold off until after FF meet in July. I'll need that 2-3 months until the meet to do my tuning.
