I for one have a serious neck problem that won't allow me to turn my head more than about 30 degrees. I have to turn my whole upper body to get more. I would've got the back up cam but didn't want the park assist. I know when you're not physically challenged in any way it sometimes escapes our thinking that someone might have a legitimate reason for some of these convenience items.

I don't think this is correct. I think you need to upgrade to MFT to get the backup cam. Regardless, you DO NOT need an auto for the cam because I have a manual and I have it.

the rear camera options dont stick on my MFT setup. guidelines in particular. i have to set the guide lines back on like every few times.

but this would be an MFT issue.

If you put it in reverse before MFT fully boots, it loses the options. I have developed the habit of starting engine, putting on seat belt, THEN moving to reverse, and it has solved the issue for me as long as I remember this. Some small comfort.

I had originally had the guide lines in mine, but I had a MFT reboot during start-up the first week I owned the car and it switched over to the zone mode automatically and I never changed it. What's the difference between both settings?

The guide lines show where the centerline of your rear end will go at whatever angle the front wheels are turned. I like it, I keep both turned on.

I have not fooled with too much, so you can turn both on at the same time? I'll have to play around with it.

i'm assuming not including backup camera on manual titaniums with MFT is probably due to the switching/sensoring for when the trans is in reverse. something simple like that, like the wiring for the auto is built to detect when it's in reverse and send that to the (LCD/entertainment system/whatever) and the manual isn't.
