If they make it, Europe is sure to get it and those of us in the U.S. won't...which is usually how it goes.

You all should start paying very close attention to what is being said in Europe in the near future.

The last Focus RS sold for 24k in pritish pounds. Using the echange rate that would be $37890... But here is the catch. The ST there costs $34752, and ours costs $24450. So...

Our ST costs about 70% of what their ST costs. (24450/34752 = .703)

Using that as a base, the last RS would have cost $26636 as a base. (Remember the last RS was significantly cheaper than the new one will be, as the MK2 ST was cheaper too.)

As I stated before low 30s isn't out of the question based on the above math I don't think.
It would need to be assembled here in North America (which includes Canada and Mexico) to be reasonable in price and most likely at the Wayne MI plant which already assembles all Focuses. So you're basically talking about taking a Focus ST and deleting the old front suspension, non-LS differential and 2.0 liter 250 hp engine on the ST and adding the Revo Knuckle suspension, mechanical (hopefully) LS differential and 2.3 liter 300+ hp engine? If the brakes, wheels, tires or more are upgraded over the ST it could be more added to the window sticker but it would be nice to keep as many common parts with the ST as possible to keep costs down.

Here's some recent articles on the hopefully coming to America Focus RS.

Damn I checked. 07 Cobalt SS= 8:22.85 Ford Focus RS= 8:26

The Cobalt was driven by an unnamed person for Motortrend. The Focus was driven by Horst Von Saurma, a regular "Ring" driver. All I can say, is WTF? I guess it must have the magnetic shocks and suspension similar to the ZL1 and Caddy. I'll have to look that up. Either way =RS, sorry, but facts is facts. That's fairly sorry to have a limited edition car upstaged by a craptacular run of the mill Korean designed American labeled tird muffin with a turbo.
LOL, yeah thats pretty bad... ford will need to do better. The RS needs to be effing mean, awd, and practically priced. Price it like a new STi, pushing 40k (which I think is absolutely ridiculous, but that's what it's gonna be. Remember back in the day when STi's were 30k? What happened to that?)

Currently massaging my 04 SVT for long term ownership. Supercharging sometime in the future to go with the Konis, Vogtland springs, and Borla. This car however, is giving me a reason to own two Foci and a Mustang when I was looking to get just the pony. Ford,if you bring it I'll find the money for both!

With STs collecting dust on a few lots it's hard to imagine Ford releasing an even more pricey version of a Focus.

10 years ago you could get the Focus SVT for under $15k (yes the MSRP was closer to $20k but were leaving the dealers for much less) and the STI came out with a $32k pricetag with no radio, cruise or A/C so once you added a few practical goodies that number was quickly over $35k which has morphed past $40k which is why I went used and out of state to find a good deal on an STI which I found one with under 4000 miles on it for $32k and included a tuner and a stage 1 reflash.
