Woot Woot! Goodbye to my LAST Ford car!

Finally got a decent trade offer and new car purchase.
I'll be rid of this junky Focus in a week or so when my new car comes in :).

Got $15K for my Focus SEL with 21K miles, which I was more than happy with considering I can get a brand new Focus 2013 Titanium right now for $19561. Anyways taking a loss of about $5800 for the 21 some months I owned it.
I will look at it as a $276/mo lease :D

Got myself a Dodge Dart 2013 Limited automatic with:
Led Racetracks
Premium Group
Sirius Satellite
Technology Group
Uconnect 8.4 w/ Navigation
--------------------------------------------
$9,478 OTD financed after trading the Focus at 0.74% for 48 months :)

Escort
Taurus
Fusion
Focus

RIP FORD!

Ah. I will definitely post the pictures once I get the car in. I was very specific of the car specs, so the only way I can get my Dart is through dealer trade. So not sure when I will get it, I figure a week maybe.

BTW Dart is an awesome car. I can live with the fact that the UConnect will never get upgrades cause I know it doesn't need it :D.
Wife's got a UConnect in her SUV and is still running factory stock firmware going on 15 months now. 0 glitches 0 failures 0 shutdowns 0 slowdowns 0 whatever negative you want to put here.

Aren't you the person that had major MFT issues since you purchased you Focus?

Good luck with a very gremlin infested Dart.

EG: Utune feature........Case Number: S1208000438
Release Date: 12/12/2012
Symptom/Vehicle Issue:
RAE Radio With RSP Uconnect Voice System, Switches To USB Mode Without Command, No Audio
Discussion:
Some early reports indicate the radio may switch to a USB mode while driving. Replacement
components Radio or Convergence Telematics Module (CTM) will not repair the vehicle at this time.
Software updates, tentatively scheduled to release late first quarter 2013. Damn same ole crap, different messenger eh?

I would suggest a person like yourself to do your due diligence and read some of the Dart owners forums.
Lots of no starts, gauge cluster fiasco's etc etc etc.

But it appears you have already took the plunge into the Dodge arena.
Seriously though I wish you much better luck then your MFT experience you had to suffer through in the Focus.

And one last thing, if you thought the Focus was made with cheap bits, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Haha funny. Yes I've been reading them, nothing like the Focus.
But yes this TSB below describes exactly what my Focus does too :)

Just FYI I've owned a UConnect 8.4Nav for 15 months and like I said it is 100x better than the MFT with 0 glitches to date.
And no the problems with the Focus weren't just isolated to the MFT, though that was my biggest gripe.

Good luck with your fastly depreciating car.

All I know is I had 15K miles left on my Focus' warranty. The first 21K had been plagued with problems, multiple service visits, repeat recurrences, time, money, gas, and frustration spent. Not worth it. Oh not to mention rental charge for a courtesy (as in FREE) car, while my Focus was being serviced, sent to collections under my name... Even though the rental department operated right out of the dealership. Got a letter stating they couldn't contact the payor (dealer) so it stated I as the renter was ultimately responsible. Funny huh?

My Dodge experience so far: regular maintenance visits.

So for the time being I will Dodge all Ford cars... Ha no pun intended. Or was it?
