It's going to be personal opinion.

To me - there isn't an easy way to remove the Ford badge on the hood or the trunk. If you leave that - most people know it's a Focus.

To me, the debadged car just looks like the factory nameplate fell off, but that's me.

I think the bestbrand is Sunroof! It blocks more stuffs and keeps your car cool inside. When it's hot and you but your are close to your Window you can't feel much on the heat. 3M is okay but Ihad issues with them a lot of ttimes on my other cars.

Any problems with GPS?

Hi everyone, we're getting the Focus towards the end of this month and will definitely tint it as it's sunny and hot here all year around. Was wondering if anyone can confirm whether they had any issues with using a GPS inside the car with a tinted windshield. I am thinking of going with the 3M FX HP 30%.

Thanks!

Windshield tint is illegal in most states, but if you don't use a metallized film, it shouldn't affect GPS - might not even if you do, but I cant say that for sure.

Thanks for the reply. I realize it's illegal in the US, I was hoping someone may have done it anyway and had some experience to share.

Unfortunately the non-metallized films like Crystalline are extremely expensive here, US$700-800, while the lower-end tints such as the FX HP are a quarter of that price.

Are you wanting it for privacy or for heat rejection?

I wasn't talking about Crystalline - I was meaning the other end of the spectrum - old polyester dyed film if it is just for the windshield and privacy is the concern.

I've heard of a few members tinting the windshield around 50% (and a couple even darker) with no notable complaints. I've been thinking of doing 50% to help reduce heat from the 40 ace windshield.
