I Can't Open My Window!!!

This past week I went to drop something off for my friend. When I pushed the driver's window switch to hand him his stuff, nothing happened! All of the other window switches work, just not the driver's window. Can't even hear the motor working, but did notice the footwell light dimmed downed a bit every time I pressed it. Kind of embarrassing to say the least. My friends make fun of my car now, because stuff like this keeps happening and I have to take it to the dealership every time more than their 10 year old cars.

Sounds like the switch is working but the window is jammed.

Did you try manually encouraging it?

This winter I had problems with the driver window going down too. Turns out the window track was full of dirt and needed to ge cleaned and greased. Probably happened when I got the car tinted.

Hi MC1992,

I recommend making an appointment at your dealership so they can check it out. Additionally, I want to get your case escalated to our Customer Care Team. Send me a PM with your VIN, dealer, mileage, daytime phone number, and full name; I'll get to work.

Well I took my car into the dealer today and they said my window motor was shot. Such a short life considering I only rolled down the window less than 30 times. Also the latest rattle on the driver's door panel is the door bezel?, that is also being ordered. Both of these are back ordered though. :/ I recently notice a possible leak inside my windshield that they can't pinpoint but do see the same water streak near the passenger side as I did. They said they'll take a look at that again once the parts are in which could take weeks they say. "Sigh"

Ha, you might just jinx yourself right there if you're referring to the fact your window still works. Sucks that I can't go to drive through anymore and among other things...

Well my window started to work again after one month and one week of nothing. Must of been the temperature, as the high was 59 degrees today. Definitely thinking it's an electrical issue rather than them telling me a motor burned out. Also my roof molding started to pop up along with my windshield molding. Both on the left side. Fixed the roof molding in like 30 seconds. One of the clips was not clipped in it turns out. Windshield molding, not sure, but I got a feeling the little tabs that holds it down are broken off. Also my door panels and etc are rattling like crazy due to the warm temperatures today. Such a cursed car I have. Surely having buyer's remorse.
